» We tend not to think twice about the most ordinary things. An idea, object, or image when thoroughly commonplace, tends to slip by unexamined and ignored. But the speculating blind man in the dark room remains curious about even the most simple phenomena, agreeing with Michel Foucault, who noted that curiosity evokes ‘concern’, it evokes the care one takes for what exists and could exist; a readiness to find strange and singular what surrounds us....
